The first day at the Gaylord National hotel was quite an experience. The hotel is huge, with a beautiful water foutain in front of the hotel, facing the Potamac River. Unfortunately I wasn't able to leave the property at all yesterday, as I was in meetings all day, but then again, I am here on business and not vacation so that is to be expected. I started the morning attending a group breakfast, expecting the morning to be just a few pleasantries and such. Instead I ended up pinch-hitting for someone's presentation whose flight was delayed. Somehow I pulled it off!
above: the atrium in the hotel, facing the Potomac River, which is quite beautiful actually.
above: Outside the hotel is a neat statue called the "Awakening". It is supposed to be a man coming alive and emerging from the dirt. It is actually somewhat creepy, but I thought it was cool. Today is the first day of our trade show, so hopefully it will be interesting. Thanks for stopping by!
