Palm trees are the subject of this week's Sunday Art Review. Palm trees have long been of interest to artists. Rows of palm trees line main streets and dot pristine golf courses throughout the valley. The texture of the trunks and ridges on the fronds provide artists with interesting patterns and light effects, particularly in the glow of the afternoon sun. No two artists interpret palm trees the same. These images are directly from the Palm Springs Art Museum as part of a silent auction underway.
