December 30 is Rizal Day. On his 114 death anniversary and as a tribute to our national hero I am posting this article.
I was so lucky that I had a day vacant during my manila travel as I attended seminar last Dec. 8 to 11. Since the hotel where I stayed was just a few meters away from the Luneta Park now called Rizal Park. I find time to walk in and discover what was inside the park. I was amazed by this free entrance national park upon seeing the monuments, tourist train, the kalesa , sculpture, artist house ,some gardens and the big pool now made into a giant dancing fountain.
I could say that there's a lot of history in Rizal Park to discover. Each monument has a story and so the bust sculpture of our heroes along the walkway. Rizal Park does not only showcased history but also the diverse Filipino culture and arts.
