Rick's Roadshow: Baltimore, Maryland (Day 2)

Thursday was my second day in Baltimore. I was in meetings for work most of the day, but I was able to break free sometime after 5:00 to go exploring. Believe it or not, I used the satellite navigation to make my way around to find various spots in the city. I realized how little I knew about this city, and was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed exploring it.

Above left: Baltimore City Hall, which looked more like a French Chateau & above right: World War I Memorial, which looked more like it belonged in Gotham City.

Above left: Great restaurants with character & above right M&T Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens

Above: Babe Ruth's birthplace and Museum...I thought this was pretty cool.

Baltimore is a city of contrasts...above left: some modern art near the Baltimore Convention Center & above right, some old clocktower...no idea what it was but I liked the contrast of old and new here...

I also found nifty areas like this cool looking pub (above left) and this office (above right) with the retro image in the left window. Tomorrow morning I fly to Las Vegas, where I will be through Sunday. The Roadshow continues...
